Twitter Relaxes 140-character Limit Allowing Users To Post Longer Tweets

Microblogging website, Twitter, has been a highly popular social media platform where users can share their views and updates in 140 characters. It was that 140-character limit, which made the platform stand out of the competition. However, there has been a debate going on among Twitterati whether this 140-character limit should be removed or not.

While many were of the view that it would just clutter the overall user experience of the platform, some were of the view that posting media and quoting other users took many characters, making it difficult to complete the tweet. And, now it will be painless.

It seems that Twitter has finally listened to its users and relaxed the 140-character limit. Now photos, videos, GIFs, polls and quoting tweets will not count towards the 140-character limit.
